How To Measure Your Waist

Your waist will be the narrowest part of your torso.  You can locate it by bending left or right.  The fold will be your waist.  It will be below your rib cage and above your belly button.  Tape should go around you body and be snug but not pulled tight.

How To Measure Your Hips

The hip area will be between 7-9 inches from the waist.  Measuring tape should go around the fullest part which will include the buttocks.

Determining Rise

Rise is the distance from the middle of the crotch seam (right between your legs) to the top of the waistband. It usually ranges from 7 inches to 12 inches. Pant rise is important because it determines where your pants sit on your body, which in turn creates your perceived waistline.*

Determining Inseam

Start with a pair of pants you already have that fit you well and lay them flat on the floor. Carefully measure the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg. THIS NUMBER IS YOUR INSEAM. Use this number to help you choose your next pair of great-fitting pants.*
